He will return the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse. Malachi 4:6

Speaking from this father’s heart it is good to be home with my family! I have missed them so much. Everyone was up and waiting for me to come through the gate at home. All of the kids came out to greet me with big hugs and to welcome me home. I love having a big family it means that many more hugs both to give and receive. They all gathered round as I opened my bags to bring out the treats I had brought them. What joy to watch their faces light up as they see that I did not forget anyone and had something special for each of them.
Well, I hit the ground running so to speak. Up early the first day home grabbing the finished paperwork from the adoption and off to the passport office to file for the new passports for Zippy and Moses with their new full names. It was late in the afternoon before we got home from our first day’s running around and then there is dinner to get done for the guest that was coming over to say welcome home. Paella, salad and home- made ice cream made from chocolate mint Girl Scout cookies, yummmmm it’s good to be home!
The next day was just a busy: food to buy, bills to be paid and some much needed time with my family. Also a meeting with a young man who calls me dad who said he is now getting married and needs to talk to a father about being a husband. What a blessing to stand in the gap and be thought of as his father and respected as his father. So it looks like another wedding will be coming up soon. Praise God for the wedding and getting to help get it done the right way before there are any mistakes so that the full blessings of God can be on their home from the start.

I thank God for His providing some time alone with my wife. We are getting some much need alone time after being apart for the three months. It is also our wedding anniversary. So we are on the south coast of Kenya enjoying the Indian Ocean and all the beauty that God has put here. It’s hard to understand how some can say there is no God when you look around and see all that He has created. Let alone the wonderful creation of my wife.
The girls are all studying hard as it is finals time again. They work so hard to make sure they get good grades. I am thankful we have the fees for next term’s school fees and transportation (taxies). They will also be getting new uniforms as it looks like we will be switching them to a new school. There was a problem at their old school and many of the teachers as well as the head master have left. The school they went to is a little further away but is also a very good school and the girls really like their teachers. Please pray as we need to find a way to get them all there as we still are in need of a van.
Thank you to those who sent the support needed to buy the backup lights for when the power goes off. They are a great blessing. Now there is no more need of candles unless we want to make a nice table for dinner. We also have what we need to buy the firewood and we are just waiting for it to arrive. WE thank God for these answers to our prayers, and we thank God for your faithful service and sacrifice through the release of your resources to further Kingdom work here in Kenya.

Please keep us in your prayers as we now start the Embassy side of the paperwork to get the adoptions done. There is some paperwork again, more questions to be answered, another doctor’s visit with the Embassy doctor this time and then finally immigrant visas for Moses and Zippy. We are also praying to be able to get a green card for Florah. So lots to get done.
Thank you all again for all that you do, your prayers and support are making a big difference in the lives of our girls and others. Through them the testimony will go out of God’s love and also yet again touch many more lives. May God bless you all over and over again. As I say, “Be blessed you’re worth it!” (Look for my daily devotionals on Facebook.)
